We take the dogs to the river so they can go for a swim.
Well, one dog goes for a swim. The other dog is a wimp and doesn't go past her ankles. 
She lets her sister do all the fetching and steals the stick when it gets back to the ankle deep part of the river.
It didn't cool us down, but the girls had fun.

How fun! We still haven't taken our lab to the lake yet. We so need to. She loves baths so I know she'll love the lake.
